How to do your make up for the first day of school.

How to do back to school makeup like amandla stenberg’s,

1. Apply moisturizer to your  face. If it has SPF then that’s better.
( If you applied or have bb cream or tinted moisturizer then you can skip step 1 and 2)

2. Put foundation on your face. It will even out your skin tone and hide pimples/redness. I like using powdered.

3. Apply a thin line of eye liner to your eyes. To do this use a pencil eyeliner (like the ones you can sharpen), keep your hand steady and try to do the line as close to the lash-line as possible. Don’t do it too slow because that can actually cause mistakes. When you are done, take a q-tip that has makeup remover on it and fix any smudges, or just scrap of the top of a thick line so you have a clean straight thin line 🙂

4. Next apply mascara, most magazines say two coats but i think that’s way too little. 5 coats minimum okay? I put like 20 or something haha

5. Next take your foundation and dust VERY VERY little on your lips (this will act as a primer) then apply a berry coloured lipstick as shown in the photo. When you’re done, take a tissue and dab on it to remove excess, then reapply it. Then take a tissue and wrap it around your finger and put that finger in your mouth, pucker your lips around the tissue and slide your finger out so all the extra lipstick goes on the tissue. With the tip of the lipstick, define your lips.

All done! I hope you really enjoyed it! This look is great for the first day of school because it’s not heavy but still cute!

How to apply makeup in a hurry

Eyes

It’s about looking clean and polished. So, apply mascara because it really turns your eyes into something different! Apply at least 3 coats, (more if you have more time) Also a shadow stick is really good because you literally just draw a line on your eyelid and you’re done.

Face

Foundation may be a staple when it comes to applying makeup, but it isn’t completely necessary when you’re in a rush. Brush some pressed powder over your face to absorb oil and even out your skin tone and you will look polished in seconds flat. A sweep of blush over the cheekbones is another quick trick to looking awake and energized in literally no time.

Lips

Put some lip balm on, definitely! Try a glossy neutral or pink tone for quick application that is hard to mess up even in a rush. Even if you go a bit outside the lines, a light and reflective gloss will not easily reveal any mistakes and will look like you spent time to apply makeup even if you didn’t!

Hair

If you don’t have time to shower, take a blush brush and blend some sheer powder on your hair roots to absorb oil. Leave your hair down with a cute hairband or a side pony!

Combat Boots pictures (floral rollups and studded boots)

These studded Steve Madden boots are so cute! I love the look, but be careful because ALL OVER studded boots can be tacky. Even these boots are hard to pull off! But wear it like the model in the photo, with shorts and comfy tee and a cute canvas backpack.
Wear these combat boots rolled down or rolled all the way up! They edge up any outfit and add a bit of girliness with the floral inside

How to wear combat boots

Try combat boots with leggings.

A chic yet comfy option is to throw them on with leggings with a long tunic or sweater.

Toughen up a dress.

My favorite way to toughen up a super girly dress like something floral or lacy is to pair it with combat boots.

Wear them with short shorts.

Tone down the sexiness of a pair of short shorts with something masculine like combat boots, and if its cold, tights.

Tuck into jeans.

You most certainly can pair these boots with your favorite pair of skinnies.

I’ll post some pics too 🙂

How to do Selena Gomez Beach waves with curling iron

Here is an example of Selena Gomez Beach waves on the right.

With 1 inch to 1-1/4 inch barrel curling iron: (Scroll up for no curling irons)

You will need a curling iron, volumizing gel, A light hold spray.

  • Apply the volumizing gel or spray directly onto wet hair.
  • Flip your head over and blow dry your hair to add volume to the roots.
  • To add smoothness before using your curling iron, twist large sections of  the hair around your finger starting at the bottom and twisting until  there is tension.
  • Separate your hair into four sections and  apply your light hold hairspray directly onto the areas you will be  curling (about from about 3 inches down from the roots and 3 inches from the ends).
  • Place curling iron about 3 inches from the roots  and wrap medium sections of the hair around the barrel. Be sure to stay  away from the ends. (you want your ends to appear straight).
  • Continue around the head until all hair is curled.
  • Apply a light hold hairspray all over and lightly scrunch the hair you’re your fingers

How to look boho chic – clothes, hair and makeup

Clothes:

Boho is all about looking individual and natural. Earthy tones are best, with splashes of colors like orange, green, and magenta. Skirts and flowy shirts are good, but you don’t have to wear baggy clothes to be Boho.

Shoes:

  • Shoes can vary depending on your preference. Sandals would be the obvious choice, but boots with leg warmers are also very chic. Have fun with it, and make it cute.

Hair:

  • If you insist upon flat ironing your hair, give it a little curve at the bottom instead of board straight in an emo or indie style. The idea is to make it appear natural. Naturally curly hair is good, or even curling iron enhanced. Braids is also very Boho. My favourite boho hairstyle is summer beach waves with a few small braids. so cute!

Accessories:

  • This is probably the most important part of all.  This means plenty of bracelets, ankle bracelets, mix-and-match necklaces, and dangling earrings. It doesn’t stop with jewelry, though. There’s headbands, clips, and barrettes for your hair, and belts for your waist. The possibilities are endless. Just make sure they’re a noticeable part of your wardrobe. And when i say headbands i mean wearing them across your forehead like Taylor Swift does a lot.

Make-up:

  • The idea is to look natural without looking washed-out.

Face:

  • Unless you have perfect skin (lucky you), put some concealer on breakouts, and maybe foundation on your whole face. Powder foundation is good if you have the right shade, as it evens out skin and removes shine. A helpful hint is to apply powder with a brush instead of the applicator that comes with it for a much less cakey appearance.

Cheeks:

  • Once your face looks clear, put on some light blush for a youthful radiance. Instead of trying to contour, simply smile and apply blush from the apple of your cheeks in the direction of the outer part of your eye. A little bit along the bride of your nose also adds a sun-kissed look. If you’re naturally tan or have darker skin, you can do the same thing with bronzer.

Eyes:

  • Neutral eyeshadow is best, as it also makes you look healthy while not looking fake. Eyeliner is good, if you are able to apply it without drawing a thick crayon-like line. If you don’t want the harsh look of black eyeliner, wear dark brown instead, for a still intense but softer look. Black mascara usually works best regardless of hair color. Pick your favorite kind, whether it’s separating, lengthening, or volumizing. It really makes your eyes pop if you curl your eyelashes first. A tip to prevent or get rid of clumping is to gently move the mascara want back and forth as you apply it.

Lips:

  • Lip balm is your friend. You want to look radiant, not have chapped, dry, flaky lips. After lip balm, wear a color that looks natural on you. If you wore eyeliner, don’t wear a dark lipstick, or else it will look like you’re wearing way too much makeup. Find something that isn’t noticeable too light or too dark, but simply makes your lips noticeable. Covergirl lip stain is a good natural look, but use whatever you want that isn’t glittery.

Tips:

  •  The Right Dress Dresses and skirts are a big part of the boho look. This spring/summer, some of the dress trends are super long dresses (maxi) , prints, florals, and bright colors paired with earthy tones.
    • Embroidered & Printed Tops
    • Another boho basic. Look for tops with beading, embroidery, floral prints, crochet details and super-trendy butterflies to wear with wide leg jeans or cut off shorts.
    • Nature-Inspired Jewelery Accent your boho outfit with jewelery made out of natural materials, or in shapes inspired by nature. Try a necklace with a feather charm, wood bangles, or earrings made out of shells. Jewelery can be as loud or as understated as you want with the boho look. Anything goes, really.
    • Cute Casual Sandals It’s not sandal weather out yet, but it will be before you know it! A big part of the boho look is the comfortable and casual sandal. Usually this means sandals in neutral tones, but pops of color can be a fun way to make this trend your own

    Warning:

Make sure your eclectic outfit matches. There’s a fine line between Boho Chic and looking like you tried to put on every piece of jewelry you own.
